Today, we bring you are weekend round up a day later than usual. We thought we would wait for the conclusion of the cricket; we kind of wish we hadn't have done so now!
So, if you were out partying over the weekend or forced into doing Christmas shopping, we've rounded everything up for you to catch up.
No Surprises Yet
The William Hill World Darts Championship began at Alexandra Palace last Thursday and there are yet to have been any real shocks. Defending champion Gary Anderson enjoyed a comfortable 3-0 win over Mark Frost to get his title defence off to a positive start.
The other pre-tournament favourites all qualified for the second round with ease. Top seed Michael van Gerwen dispatched Kim Viljanen 3-0 and third seed Peter Wright won with the same score line over Jerry Hendriks.
14-time champion Phil Taylor beat David Platt 3-0 on Sunday and two-time winner Adrian Lewis claimed a whitewash win over Magnus Caris last night.
SPOTY
On Sunday evening, Andy Murray was crowned BBC Sports Personality of the Year for a record third time. In a remarkable year for Murray where he won Olympic Gold, Wimbledon and became tennis' world number one - this was the icing on the cake.
Triathlete Alistair Brownlee came second in the voting after becoming the first man to retain the Olympic triathlon title at Rio 2016. Another star of the Olympic Games, Nick Skelton, was in third after winning show jumping gold.
Team of the Year was won by Leicester City, after the Foxes shocked the sporting world to win the 2015/16 Premier League title. Their manager, Claudio Ranieri, was crowned Coach of the Year after masterminding the most incredible title win in English football's history.
Six Point Gap
Chelsea opened up a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League over the weekend after beating Crystal Palace. A first-half goal from Diego Costa gave Antonio Conte's side all three points for the 11th successive game!
Liverpool sit in second place after a 1-0 win over Everton last night in the Merseyside derby. The game looked to be heading for a drab 0-0 draw, but Sadio Mane reacted quickest to Daniel Sturridge's shot off the post to give Liverpool an injury time winner.
Man City overtook Arsenal to move up to third after defeating the Gunners 2-1 at the Etihad. Theo Walcott put the visitors ahead inside five minutes, but second-half goals from Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling gave City the win!
Another Heavy Defeat
England endured a dreadful batting collapse to slip to an innings-and-75-run defeat on the final day of the fifth Test against India in Chennai.
Trailing by 282 from the first innings, England managed to make 103-0, but then lost four wickets for just 26 runs.
They looked to have been steadied until Moeen Ali played a poor shot at Ravindra Jadeja, who took 7-48.
It then lead a collapse where England lost six wickets for just 15 runs, with England all out for 207 to give India a 4-0 series win.
England have now lost six of their past eight Tests, seven of which have come on a tough tour of Bangladesh and India, where England's failings with facing spin and bowling spin have been highlighted yet again!
