The Stagcom 20th February Round Up

If we learned nothing else this weekend, the magic of the FA Cup is still alive! It was one of the greatest weekends in history for shocks in the competition and was a joy to watch.

If you weren't fortunate enough to watch the action over the weekend, then we've got it all covered here, along with all of the sport, in our weekend round up.

Shocks All Round

The FA Cup has come under criticism at times over the past few years, but this weekend was one to savour for the oldest cup competition in the world.

It all started with the first game of the fifth round, as Burnley hosted non-league Lincoln City at Turfmoor. Sean Dyche's side boast one of the best home records in the country, but were left shell-shocked when Lincoln defender Sean Raggett climbed highest in the 89th minute to give his team the win. Lincoln become the first non-league side in 103 years to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals, which is an incredible achievement. They will face the winners of Sutton United and Arsenal, who play tonight.

League One side Millwall, also caused a shock, after defeating Premier League champions Leicester City. The win was made all the more impressive, as they played pretty much the entire second half with ten men, after Jake Cooper received two yellow cards. With the game goalless, Shaun Cummings was the Millwall hero as he raced clear to score late on. The defeat raises more questions for Leicester who play Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday.

The other surprise of the round came in West Yorkshire as Huddersfield held Manchester City to a goalless draw. Both sides could do without another game adding to their congested fixture lists, but will have to meet in a replay next week.

New Number One

Dustin Johnson became the world number one for the first time by winning the Genesis Open over the weekend.

After storms interrupted Saturday's play, Johnson had to play both his third and fourth rounds on Sunday, but carded a par 71 in his final round to finish on 17 under; five ahead of the chasing pack.

It looks as if the US Open champion is coming into form at just the right time ahead of the first major of the year, The Masters, in April.

Tense Final

Stuart Bingham kept his cool in a tense final frame to beat Judd Trump 9-8 as he won his first Welsh open title.

Bingham trailed 8-7, but won the final two frames to claim his first ranking title since winning the 2015 World Championship.
