Bournemouth is a brilliant place for a surfing stag do. The beaches are long and sandy and the waves are clean, steady and forgiving, giving you the chance to get used to the weird sensation of balancing on a surf board.
No experience necessary. Lessons are geared towards beginners. All you need is a towel and swimwear. The first challenge is getting into a wetsuit! Once that's been achieved, you'll hit the beach and the surf instructor will show you how to lie on the board, paddle for a wave and pop up to your feet.
When you've learned a couple of techniques on dry land it's time to get wet. During a first lesson you'll wade out to waist-high water and practice lying on the board, paddling for white water and catching waves. The aim is to catch one, stand up and ride into shore for a sweet adrenaline rush.
