Master clay pigeon shooting in Bristol, home of cider and The Wurzels. A stag favourite, this classic country sport is a no-brainer that'll get the blood pumping and testosterone charging. Will your marksmanship skills be good enough to win the coveted title of sharp shooter?
The instructors at the woodland clay pigeon shooting ground just outside Bristol are excellent. These guys are qualified professionals and will get everyone in your stag party shooting with confidence in minutes. There's no messing about. After a safety briefing and an eye dominance test, you'll be shown how to hold, load, aim and fire a 12-bore double-barrelled shotgun without popping a shoulder out.
Hitting a moving target is no mean feat. Clay pigeon shooting requires a cool head, control, concentration and a strong arm. Shout 'pull', track your target, fire slightly ahead of it and hear a satisfying 'smack!' as the clay shatters in the sky. Expect to shoot from five different stands with names like Dropping Duck, Running Rabbit and Rising Teal. All will become clear.
Every stag do needs a little competition. The instructors will keep track of your kills on a score card and award medals to the top three shooters.
