Canoeing
Get in the water with a British Canoe Union (BCU) instructor, and learn to control a canoe in this wet and wild stag do adventure! Taking place on the River Derwent, this water course is the perfect way to fill a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon.
We'll take your group to an epic watersport centre close to Darley Abbey (near Derby). First time water-users and old pros alike are welcome to join in, as you take a downstream safari that includes more than just learning how to wield a paddle.
Your expert instructors will teach you the basics of canoeing, from paddling in a straight line to steering sideways and ruddering. If you've never done it before, the instruction period will get you manoeuvring like a pro in no time. If this isn't your first time in a canoe, your instructors can help you perfect your technique before heading into open water.
As you progress downstream, your stag do guests will be challenged to take part in some water-based games. This isn't just an afternoon of messing around on the river! It's all about getting competitive. The question is, have you mastered the art of canoeing well enough to score the big points-or will you be left high and dry?
