Glasgow is perfectly situated for some serious outdoorsy activities. Just 30km to the north of the city lie the legendary lochs - Lomond, Ard, Goil and Long, in and around the Trossachs National Park. Take your stag party away from the pubs and bars for an afternoon of fresh air, magnificent scenery and gentle exercise in a Canadian canoe.
Canadian canoeing, or open boat canoeing, uses long open-topped craft propelled by a crew of six to eight people. We'll send your stag party out onto the waters of one of Scotland's most beautiful lochs with experienced guides in each boat. Discover the spectacular scenery in and around the loch, which is dotted with tiny islands only reachable in a water craft.
Make landfall, check out the surroundings and keep your eyes peeled for rare wildlife. As you glide past in your canoe, you'll be more likely to see the birds and beasts unique to Scotland than you would in a powered craft.
Adrenaline junkies need not worry that an afternoon in a canoe is going to be all plain sailing! There will - if the water level is right - be plenty of opportunities to stop and conquer the loch's rock jumps, which start out at an easy 6ft but range in difficulty to a respectable 25ft. Get wet, get happy, and return to Glasgow ready for another night out!
