Track Day Experience
Heading to Newcastle on your stag weekend? If you've got a best bud who loves piston heads and crankshafts, we recommend making a trip to Croft on British Touring Car Championship day.
Croft is just outside Dalton on Tees in West Yorkshire, not far from the A1(M). Designed in a series of sweeping bends, long straights and critical hairpins, it's a punishing circuit for the Rob Austin Audis. It also looks hilariously like a willy and balls.
There are six epic viewing spots for you to take in the full-throttle madness of BTCC qualifying. Check out Hawthorn for a great view of two long straights, set up camp next to Chicane to see the uber-A4s get their wobble on, or head to the hill next to Complex to see the cars open up out of a broad turn. And don't forget to spend some time at the circuits's only internal viewpoint, which commands an incredible panorama of the start/finish line, the hairpin, Tower Bend and the longest straight sections!
You'll be spending plenty of time in the pits, and Rob Austin Racing Team's garage, getting to know the crew and seeing the A4s up close. When you're done, head to the end of the paddock, near Clervaux, for beers in the trackside bar.
Tickets for Croft sell out quickly. Make sure you get yours, for the petrolhead stag weekend of a lifetime!
