Nottingham Turbo Cricket is the shorter, sweeter version of the traditional sport played by English gents. Forget 5-day test matches or games that go on and on until one side eventually wins. This is 1 hour long. A game has 10 overs per innings. It's 6 people to a team. The pitch is smaller than usual but the action comes thicker and faster.
Event instructors will set everything up, go through the rules when you arrive and get you all organised into teams. Just put your trainers on, turn up and play. The venue is near Nottingham city centre so nice and convenient for a stag do.
Nottingham Turbo Cricket has a bunch of twists and tweaks to keep you on your toes and get the adrenaline going. For 3 overs, runs will be worth double. Hit a 6 and you'll get 10 runs. All players have to bowl but batsmen get as many goes as they want. However, they must retire at 20 or the team gets 10 runs deducted from their total score. So don't outstay your welcome, even if you are on a roll.
Nottingham is of course the home of Trent Bridge, one of the most famous cricket grounds in the world. England slayed Australia here and won the Ashes in 2015. It's kind of a big deal. It's also what makes cricket a big must for a Nottingham stag do. Grab a bat and get involved.
